Wat Chaeng, วัดแจ้ง is a
temple in Ban Nakhon, Nai Mueang, Mueang Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand.
The Ordination Hall or Ubosot, in perfect Isan or northeastern style with
beautifully carved and inlaid teakwood, is well preserved. It is one
of the oldest ordination halls in the Isan provinces. It is also unique in that it has crocodiles on either side of the stairs instead of the usual naga. It received a
Certificate of Honor from H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in the
‘Architect 87’ Exhibition. Wikimapia location |
