Juvenile and Subadult (Immature) Bald Eagles Haliaeetus leucocephalus, Hawk and Eagle Family, Accipitridae Juvenile Bald Eagles are usually uniformly dark brown although underparts, including underwings and undertail, are rather irregularly marked with white; bill and cere are dark. Subadult Bald Eagles gradually acquires adult plumage through successive molts over several years. |
