The Scaly-breasted Munia, นกกระติ๊ดขี้หมู, is also known as the Spotted Munia and in the pet trade as the Nutmeg Mannikin or Spice Finch. Its name is based on the distinct scale-like feather markings on the breast and belly. Their diet is seeds and small insects. These birds are highly social and are usually seen in groups that may include other munias. The males have a dark chin that distinguishes them from the females.
